On the way to the goal: Open House Day at Armenian University of Armenia

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. – Malcolm X

Continuing my further education in the American University of Armenia is one of my biggest dreams. I’m choosing AUA because it gives a wide choice of professions to specialize in. It offers a new way, new ideas and new standards as my present school and that answers the fact why I chose those two educational centers. I do like new ways of studying; I like the reforms and renovations in nowadays education, and I think students need that too. How boring it can be to study in an educational program that is still influenced by the program of the Soviet days for more than 30 years. We need some new ideas, more interesting and more attractive, so the future generation of our country will like their job even more and will willingly specialize further in their own profession. That’s all about my opinion on nowadays education.

Let’s get back to our topic. Our English group was taking part in that event too. And it was an honor to be hosted at AUA and be introduced with their program, admission system, scholarship offers and the main parts of the building. It was great to know that they have various scholarship offers that students can get, they have variety of student’s clubs, they organize plenty of interesting events.

Today’s program was English and Communication and also Politics and Governance. I was excited to know all about their E&C program and what professions does it offer. And I was happy to discover that this program includes courses like linguistics, writing, literature, media and communication, movies and many other communication skills. Those are all the things I’m interested in, plus the fact that it offers us not only professions that are modern nowadays, but also professions that will appear in 30 years. So, it’s a very prospective thing to choose this program.

Then we had a big tour all across the building. We saw their wonderful halls, rooms, the Student Union, the new building, and we’ve been to their amazing library with great number of books for more than 500000.

In the end, we had a nice treat in one of their large rooms where you could find different kind of sweets, food and drinks. We enjoyed all that too, and with great memories and feelings, we said goodbye to the friendly and hospitable family of AUA.

In brief, it was a great day, filled with lots of wonderful feelings and productive events. I hope we’ll often take part in such amazing events and before finishing the school, we’ll be informed about all the choices of further education and will easily choose the best way for us.
