    • When we write a handwritten letter, we write it more thoughtfully and carefully.
    • Receiving a handwritten letter can be one of the greatest pleasures and knowing that someone has taken the trouble to write to you.
    • Letters stay around longer than emails and allow us to keep a record of our past.
  2. Newspapers have reported a rise in stationery sales and several internet campaigns have sprung up in an attempt to save the art of letter-writing, such as the annual Month of Letters.
